National Parks in Nicaragua
In a country teaming with wildlife and diversity,
there is little mystery as to why so many tourists are
choosing to visit National Parks in Nicaragua
instead of cities and beaches. Nicaragua has some 78
nature reserves, parks and wildlife sanctuaries filled
with amazing diversity. Many of Nicaragua’s
National Parks provide nearby lodging to limit
wilderness camping and further damage to the
environment. However, with so many to choose from, it is
often difficult to decide where to start. We have
provided a brief description of several National
Parks and Wildlife sanctuaries in Nicaragua
below to help get you started. If you’re looking for the ultimate
place to soak up the sun and enjoy the
cool tranquility of water, look no
further than Nicaragua. With beaches
stretching along both the Pacific Ocean
and Caribbean Sea, as well a number of
inland lakes and rivers, you will have
no shortage of beautiful beaches to
enjoy in this stunning country. In fact,
many visitors have come to view
Nicaragua as the ultimate beach holiday
destination. Today, El Rama is quiet and peaceful and is one of the more unknown destinations in Nicaragua. However, just a few years ago it was a road less traveled due to the danger and fear that surrounded this little tropical paradise. Unfortunately, it became a target of war efforts because of its strategic location between rivers. It was also conveniently situated on the fastest route to the South Atlantic. Troops would move through Butterfields to the El Rama Port, with the result that passenger ships and innocent travelers would often come under fire.
